Afridi’s Great performance helps Pakistan win series

SHARJAH: Shahid Afridi’s excellent all-round performance gave Pakistan a dramatic 26-run victory and a 3-1 series win over Sri Lanka in the fourth day-night one-day international here at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday.



First, Shahid Afridi scored a fighting 78 to help Pakistan reach 200 in 49.3 overs and then he grabbed five wickets for 35 to clinch a sensational victory for Pakistan.

Poised for an easy-looking win, Sri Lanka collapsed from 155-3 to 174 all out in 45.2 overs.
