Former France international Robert Pires is open to a move to the A-League should an offer come in despite rejecting a move to Australia two years ago.
The 38-year-old was chased by Sydney FC two years ago before he joined Aston Villa, but he chose to stay in Europe instead.
Speaking on why he rejected the move to Australia two years ago, he said: "At that moment I preferred to stay in Europe. Now, if I have an opportunity with Australia I need to think about it."
Asked if he would be interested if an A-League club made an approach, Pires replied: "Yes, of course.
"Why not? It's a great country," Pires said. "If I go to Australia it's a new experience, a new challenge."
Pires is now clubless after being released by Aston Villa at the end of last season.
